Hi-Tech Medical College & Hospital, Bhubaneswar, observed Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2026 with a focus on promoting awareness about balanced nutrition, healthy eating habits and the importance of nutritional health for overall well-being.
The programme brought together healthcare professionals, academic leaders, faculty members and students to highlight the vital role of nutrition in healthy growth, disease prevention, immunity and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Speakers emphasised the need for informed food choices and greater awareness of proper nutrition across different age groups.
The programme was attended by Prof. (Dr.) Sitaram Mahapatro, Director (Administration) and Medical Superintendent, Hi-Tech Medical College & Hospital, Vice Principal Ms. Lisa Sarangi, and Dr. Radhamadhab Tripathy, Dean & Director. Heads of various departments and professors from the Nutrition Department also participated in the programme.
The event stressed that adequate and balanced nutrition is an essential component of preventive healthcare. Participants were encouraged to adopt healthier dietary practices and spread awareness about the benefits of nutritious food in daily life.
