Hectic preparations are underway here to launch the first ever Data Bank dedicated to Prabasi Odias world over. The proposed Data Bank will include the relevant informations about the 1&1/2 crores Odias living outside Odisha. The registration process is now open for non resident Odias staying in different states and cities of India and various countries in abroad. Once registered the persons are being issued Identity Cards as Prabasi Odias. Premier Voluntary Organisation Samudayik Vikas Samiti (SVS) under the stewardship of its President, noted Social Leader and renowned Chartered Accountant Dr Manoranjan Mohanty, is currently engaged in enumeration of Global Odias and collecting their digital datas.
Speaking to Media the Chief architect of Prabasi Odias Data Bank, Dr Manoranjan Mohanty disclosed that the collected datas will find place in the Prabasi Odias Website and mobile app.The endeavour aims at providing real time assistance to Prabasi Odias during emergencies, helping them to connect with the Prabasi brethren staying nearby and building a robust global network of Odia Communities and associations, informed Dr Mohanty.
The inauguration of the Data Bank, website and mobile app would be held in National Capital with the presence of the senior representatives of around 300 major Odia organisations from various parts of India and abroad. So far Odias living in eighty countries of the world have registered their names in the census portal. Dr Mohanty has appealed to all Prabasi Odias living in nook and corners of India and various parts of the planet to hurry up and take advantage of the opportunity of becoming Bonafide proud Prabasi Odias by registering their names in SVS platform.He has also requested the Prabasi Odia Organisations to get associated with the noble initiative and mobilise more and more Prabasi Odias in getting their names registered.
