After looting in the name of Shri Ram, their eyes are on our Lord Jagannath: Bhakta Das

Paperman Media ( Bhubaneswar )- Odisha Pradesh Congress President Bhakta Charan Das issued a press statement at Congress Bhavan regarding the serious lapses in the management of Lord Jagannath's Rath Yatra this year, which has caused a great deal of hurt to the sentiments of the people of the state.

Addressing the media representatives, OPCC President Bhakta Charan Das said that Lord Jagannath is connected to the sentiments of the entire people of Odisha and lakhs of devotees gather not only from Odisha but also from abroad for the Rath Yatra festival. But this government has continuously made serious lapses in the management of Lord Jagannath for the past three years, thereby desecrating the image of Lord Jagannath. The government is not concerned with the sentiments of the people.

This year, Lord Jagannath left the temple without a Tahia during the Rath Yatra. Rath Yatra and Bahuda The mandatory use of the Tahia has been a classical tradition and has been followed for hundreds of years without exception. But this time, the Tahia Prabhu could not use it. Why was the tradition neglected? This serious policy error has left the entire state speechless and deeply distressed. The temple administrator, Arvind Padhi, is an honest and sincere IAS officer, but on whose advice was Shri Jagannath deprived of wearing the Tahia! Shri Das said that Shri Padhi should be remorseful for this.

Shri Das criticized the BJP government and said again that 'they have looted the Ram temple donations using the name of Ram, ornaments and money, now their eyes are on our Lord. The secret of the treasure chest could not be revealed. There should be an investigation into the irregularities in all aspects of the management of the Jagannath temple. President Shri Das presented the Congress's claim on behalf of the people of the state, and said that the ministers and officials responsible for the irregularities in the management of the Rath Yatra for three years will be held accountable. Take strict action. Do not play with Lord Jagannath like Shri Ram. Appropriate compensation should be provided to the dead and injured devotees immediately. If the sentiments of crores of devotees are hurt by showing negligence in the work of Jagannath, the consequences will definitely be difficult, Shri Das has indicated.
